Childhood sweethearts Neda and Jelal are married! Congratulations are in order for the lovely couple.
These two lovebirds had been together for over 8 years, so when it was time to tie the knot it was no shock that they wanted a grand Persian wedding that guests would be talking about for months.
Indeed, their day was filled with the warmest love vibes, tonnes of emotions, and lots and lots of dancing! Friends and family flew in from all over the world to celebrate their love.
The day was basically divided into two parts: the Aghd ceremony, and the reception.
We prepared the Aghd ceremony in the gorgeous outdoor garden of the hotel which overlooks the sea. This portion of the celebration required much preparation and the gathering of different elements such as a mirror, candelabras, an assortment of seven symbolic herbs and spices, specially baked flatbread, a basket of decorated eggs and nuts, a bowl of fruits, crystallized sugar, honey, rosewater, a needle and thread, wild rue, a traditional Persian embroidered cloth, a sofreh overlay, and the bride and groom’s seating. Needless to say, these symbolic items made up the sofreh and spread, all of which represent an element of the couple’s new life + marriage together.
Following the ceremony, we moved indoors. The vibe of the reception was less formal. The bride and groom were able to let loose, have fun, and dance the night away.
Here’s a peek at their special day, because no matter how hard we try to explain the beauty of this wedding, word will not do it justice!
A luxury Persian Wedding to die for
