Real Wedding Submission:

Please note that we accept all weddings. We try to feature unique weddings with unique elements. If this is you, we would love to feature you. Weddings that are featured on other blogs will NOT be accepted. Please email me on info {at} culturewedding {dot} ca to submit your wedding with the subject line: WEDDING SUBMISSION INQUIRY

WHAT YOU CAN SUBMIT:

  • Proposal stories (We adore hearing about people’s engagements and how the question was asked, everyone’s story is unique so let me share yours. Then in a year or so, I can also blog about your wedding. Some points to include are: How you met, how long you have been together, what you both do, how you both felt (both versions), choosing the ring, the wedding date and any other information about how it went down. Please also include a minimum of 5 photographs.)

What you need to send me

Photographs

15-20 photographs. These should be 900px wide and 72dpi {web standard}. Photographs must be taken by a professional to be submitted. They can be sent via Dropbox, Google Drive or WeTransfer.

Copy

A short paragraph about the big day, why you chose what you did, how it went, the best part etc. Some points to include:

  • Names of the couple, wedding venue and date
  • Where the couple are from
  • How they met
  • How they got engaged
  • How their wedding day went
  • Any obstacles they had to overcome when planning their wedding
  • Is it harder to plan a wedding when the couples are from different faiths/cultures etc
  • Advice to give to other multicultural couples
  • Links to suppliers used; 

Please note that you must have the consent of all members when submitting the real wedding or photo shoot.

Examples of style shoots:

We receive a large volume of submissions each week. As a result, we cannot personally reply to them all. We’ll get back to you within 30 business days if your submission will fit into our editorial schedule.

Once a submission is accepted, we must receive all the necessary materials within three months. If we don’t, we can’t move forward with the feature. If you have not heard from our Editorial team with a publication date for your feature, we have not received all materials.
