How Many Songs are typically played at a wedding reception?
When planning your wedding and your reception playlist, you definitely want to ensure you have a good list with enough songs to playing.
Obviously, your DJ will keep playing music and if guests have requested songs, they might play these songs too if appropriate.
By typically there are about 4 hours for your reception, let’s say from 9-1 am (Assuming dinner, speeches and activities are done).
So you can typically play 14-15 songs per hour, that is almost 60 songs. You do not have to go crazy and pick 60 songs.
Have at least 20-25 songs you definitely want to hear. A few maybe play this song list and let the DJ work his magic.
