A save the date is a pre-invitation which officially announces your wedding date and lets guests know that they will, in fact, be invited to the celebration.
We recommend sending the save the dates especially if you are having a destination wedding or a wedding that will last 2 or more days. If your wedding is on a holiday weekend or during busy times, let your guests know. It’s a good way of letting your guests prepare everything ahead of schedule in order to make the necessary arrangements.
