Collecting wedding photos from guests

Collect photos from wedding guests using a free photo-sharing website for wedding guests.

Now that you are officially married, have had the cake and are preparing to go on your honeymoon, I am sure you are eager to see all the beautiful wedding photos from your big day.

I know I was dying to see photos of everyone enjoying themselves on our special day.

I am sure you plan on having a professional capture and document your wedding day.

Hiring a wedding photographer is extremely important, and I encourage it at every chance.

Not only will you have these professional photos of your special day for years to come, but you will also have the opportunity to share them and hang them up in your home.

But we all know hiring a photographer means you will have to wait a while to get your photos back.

It could take weeks to get sneak peeks and sometimes months to access your wedding gallery.

After spending more than a year planning my wedding, I was impatient to see my photos.

I was eager to see photos of everyone on my day and how I looked in the 3 wedding dresses I wore.

I also wanted to see my husband’s getting ready photos with his brothers.

“But wait, what about the photos we both know your wedding guests captured?”

While you wait for professional wedding photos, I am sure your guests snapped a few gorgeous pictures throughout the day.

I mean, who wouldn’t?

Weddings are beautiful, and naturally, people love taking photos of pretty things.

I would want a few memories too.

Candid photos from wedding guests are usually the best.

It shows us another point of view of the day, allowing us to see how much guests enjoyed themselves.

And you don’t need to wait long to get access to them.

Having guests contribute to your wedding photography is an excellent idea.

How to collect wedding photos from guests

The most significant benefit of creating an account with this online wedding photo-sharing website is that you can easily find all the pictures in one place!

As long as your guests use it to share their amazing photos, you will have memories to last a lifetime!

Using WedUploader was easy to use.

Follow these simple steps, and you will be well on your way to receiving hundreds of wedding photos from guests you can enjoy.

Use a simple photo sharing app for your wedding to collect photos from your guests. Encourage guests to take photos and get lots of candid photos, in addition to those your photographer takes

1. Create your free WedUploader account

To start collecting photos your wedding guests captured on your big day, you need to set up an account with WedUploader!

I already use Gmail, but if you don’t have an email account with Google, you will have to create one.

I usually encourage my couples to create a designated email for wedding planning, so if you have that, use that email address.

Start by signing up for a free account on WedUploader!

When you sign up, it will ask you for your Gmail credentials to connect to your Google Drive so the interface can start to collect photos your guests send.

Once you are in, you will see the page below where you can personalize the look of your account and create albums.

WedUploader tips for signing up for free account. The best way to collect wedding photos from your guest is to use this epic interface!

2. Creating Your WedUploader Albums

This area is my favourite part.

Once you customize your interface to your liking, you can create multiple WedUploader albums.

This is neat because you can create albums for all your pre-wedding events, your actual wedding and any post-events you might have, such as a goodbye wedding brunch.

Here are a few examples of albums I recommend you create:

  • Engagement party album
  • Bridal shower
  • Bachelor/ bachellorate party
  • Rehearsal dinner gatherings
  • “Get ready” wedding photos with your bridal parties
  • Your wedding album
  • Wedding brunch

Once everything is organized and created, you can share the link with your guests!

And when your guests click on it, they can start sharing photos within the designated albums you created.

3. Sharing unique links with guests

You can sign up for WedUploader as soon as you start your wedding planning.

You do not need to wait to sign up after your wedding day has passed.

You can start collecting wedding photos from guests immediately and during the whole planning process.

As soon as the albums are created, you will have access to a link you can share with specific people or everyone to start collecting photos.

Sharing your links with specific guests is an excellent option, in my opinion.

So, if you have just had a fun bridal shower, send the bridal shower links to those that participated, asking them to share any cute photos they took at the event.

Do that for every album and as your progress down your wedding timeline.

Once you send the links to your guests, they can upload their pictures and videos.

You will see these in your Google Drive in moments and have the photos forever.

I encourage all couples planning events to collect photos from wedding guests if you can do so!

Quick tips for sharing your unique link:

  • Email your guests after each event with your link asking them to spread the love by sharing photos they may have captured.
  • If you have a group chat with your girls, you can text them the link after each event.
  • And if you have plans to create a wedding website, you can share your WedUploader link there to start collecting wedding pictures.
  • Setting up a cute sign with a message at every event is ideal so guests can do it immediately. I love this Capture the Love QR code Sign perfect for collecting wedding photos from guests.
