Angel Glacier Hike 

The trailhead for the hike to Angel Glacier on Mount Edith Cavell is located at the end of Cavell Road, approximately 25 kilometres (15.5 miles) from the town of Jasper.

The road to the trailhead is well-paved but can be narrow and winding.

Parking is available at the trailhead but can fill up quickly during peak seasons. 

The actual hike is short and sweet at approximately 1.6 kilometres (1 mile).

The trail starts at the parking area and winds its way through a subalpine forest.

As you ascend, the trail becomes steeper and more rugged.

Some sections involve scrambling over rocks and roots, so be sure to wear sturdy footwear.

The hike’s highlight is reaching the glacier viewpoint, which offers a stunning panoramic view of the Angel Glacier and the surrounding mountain peaks.

The Angel Glacier is a hanging glacier, meaning it clings to the cliffs of Mount Edith Cavell.

Lake Morraine Cruise 

Lake Morraine is renowned for its extraordinary natural beauty.

Nestled in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, the lake features crystal-clear turquoise waters surrounded by towering snow-capped mountains and dense pine forests.

Natural Bridge is a unique formation created by the erosion of limestone rock by the Kicking Horse River.

You can easily access it by walking a minute from the parking lot.

Takakkaw Falls is considered Canada’s second tallest waterfall at 1,224 feet.

You can see by doing over a mile hike.

Even though this is a short hike, it will take around a half hour to complete because it’s challenging.

Getting to Wapta Falls can be done by an easy, 3-mile hike.
